AJMF Klezmer Workshop in 100 words

Our final AJMF event of the festival will be an intimate and interactive treat, sure to attract local musicians and Yiddish culture enthusiasts. The Klezmer Workshop,  which will be held from 11 AM-2 PM at Congregation Shearith Israel, will be lead by Julie Egger, violinist and band manager of Red Hot Chachkas. Julie has performed classical, jazz and liturgical styles across the globe alongside master artists such as Stuart Brotman and Joshua Horowitz.  A co-founder of KlezCalifornia, Julie currently freelances throughout the Bay Area, continues to write music with her peers and teaches students of all ages.
